Dear Supporters, Partners, and Friends,

As we welcome the Year of the Snake, the Global Anti-Scam Organization (GASO) extends our heartfelt wishes for a joyful, prosperous, and meaningful Lunar New Year to you and your loved ones.

The snake represents wisdom, transformation, and resilience—qualities that are central to our collective fight against scams and human trafficking. Over the past year, we’ve made significant progress together, but our mission reminds us that this is not a battle for one person or one organization to fight alone. It is through shared determination—global partnerships, media advocacy, and community efforts—that we can illuminate the shadows where these crimes thrive and drive impactful change.

Crime syndicates are often more united and organized than anyone else. To combat them effectively, we need collective action. We urge everyone to step forward—support law enforcement agencies and NGOs in their efforts. Whether by dedicating your time, spreading awareness, or sharing new scam advisories issued by your country, every action matters. Together, we can prevent scams and protect our communities.

Media platforms are vital in exposing scam syndicates and amplifying the voices of victims. Exchanges and technology companies must take greater responsibility to safeguard their platforms. Likewise, governments have a crucial role in increasing anti-scam awareness within their nations, preventing illicit funds from flowing into criminal hands.

We also call on the public to stop victim-blaming and instead understand the complex realities behind scams and human trafficking. Scams don’t happen because victims are greedy—they happen because criminals exploit, manipulate, and deceive. Similarly, human trafficking victims forced into scams don’t choose their circumstances; they are often coerced and trapped by criminal syndicates. Blaming victims only perpetuates stigma, silencing them and allowing perpetrators to act without accountability.

We also call on nations, especially those in underserved regions, to strengthen their efforts against these crimes. Awareness campaigns, stricter regulations, and rigorous enforcement are essential to dismantling these networks and protecting vulnerable individuals.

As we step into 2025, let us embrace the spirit of the snake: wise, resilient, and transformative. Together, we can continue building a safer and more equitable world.

Thank you for your unwavering support. May this year bring wisdom, strength, and unity to us all.

Warm regards,

Global Anti-Scam Organization (GASO)
